The soundstage is acoustically engineered with a floating floor, and is optimal for music and narration recording. Creative Overview

We understand the need for comprehensive high quality media in today's business world. We also understand the importance of the environment and how efforts to green within your company can benefit many areas of business.

We at Platypi want to capture these efforts on film, creating content vignettes that can be showcased in and around the City of Denver through multiple distribution outlets, as well as presented in a feature-length documentary film for world-wide distribution. The Green Film Project, comprised of these various content vignettes and documentary film, will positively highlight the exciting multi-layered greening processes, challenges, and accomplishments of the City of Denver, the Convention Host Committee, and local businesses and organizations.

Although the green initiative leading up to the Democratic National Convention is a focal point of the documentary, The Green Film Project will highlight the overall, ongoing greening of Denver. The sustaining value of this documentary will be in its social marketing, environmental awareness, and educational opportunities. The Project will inspire a call to action for others, while serving as a legacy piece that showcases Denver as an eco-friendly sustainable development leader.

Platypi was happy to welcome local band Kinetix to Platypi Studios for a VIP concert and Q&A session.

The New West

Platypi recently joined forces with Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, the City of Denver, and the Democratic National Convention to create a promotional video that will be featured on every United Airlines flight (domestically and internationally) during the month of August. The video was created to both introduce and invite travelers to experience the progressive spirit that makes Denver “The New West.”

Restop Promo

Restop and has developed a way for campers/hikers/etc to significantly reduce their impact on the environment…Platypi and Restop worked together to produce a video that explains it all! Metro Taxi Promo

An important, ongoing initiative of Denver’s Metro Taxi is the greening of its entire operation. Platypi recently worked with Metro taxi to create a promotional vignette to showcase these greening efforts. This vignette will also be featured as part of The Green Film Project. Spools of Dark Thread Music Video

Spools of Dark Thread is a Denver-based hard-core metal band that has proven to be a top musical force in the Rocky Mountain region. Spools has a growing, loyal fan base and is known for their driving melodies and energy-charged live shows. Platypi recently produced a music video in Platypi’s studio for Spools’ single, “Set In Stone.”

Platypi creates commercial spots for many of the plays and events at The Denver Center for Performing Arts. 3 Mo’ Divas, directed by Marion J. Caffey, was an amazing production celebrating the versatility of the female voice. Spanning 400 years of musical styles, three astounding women took on classic hits from the worlds of opera, Broadway, jazz, blues, soul, R&B, spirituals, and gospel – all in one spectacular and theatrical evening.

In the Winter of 2007, the Denver Center Theatre Company brought to life the poignant chronicle of a Jewish family’s years spent in an Amsterdam attic, and their ultimate betrayal and execution by the occupying Germans. Anne Frank wrote of heroism and enduring hope during this time of unthinkable cruelty and despair.

Platypi creates commercial spots for many of the plays and events at The Denver Center for Performing Arts. Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen’s classic romance, was brought to life onstage in the Winter of 2007. Austen’s comedy of manners was an amazingly vivid production with an unforgettable cast of characters.
